SEACOM’s IP Transit service operates over its native IPv4 / IPv6 IP network – the largest, highest capacity and most densely connected IP network in Africa today. It ensures that SEACOM customers can keep pace with their customers’ growing demand for Internet services.

IP Transit from SEACOM is an IP service for customers with their own Autonomous System Number (ASN) and provider of an independent block of IP addresses. The IP Transit service advertises routes to all Internet destinations via access points in Europe and Asia.

SEACOM’s IP Transit offering is world class. Features include the ability to burst beyond the committed data rate and protection against Denial of Service (DoS) attacks. These features provide bandwidth flexibility while maintaining a high availability.

In order to access SEACOM’s IP Transit service a customer must:

• Have a BGP-enabled router with adequate memory
• Have an AS number
